The Les Echets – La Boisse section (13 km) of the A432 motorway connects the A42 and A46 motorways.
This is a major link in the national road network from the north to the west towards the Alps, enabling traffic to bypass Lyon.
This section includes:
- A 13 km 2×2 lane section twinned with the South-East high-speed rail line
- Two motorway interchanges with the A46 North and the A42 and A432 South
- An exceptional 2×3 lane viaduct, 1,200 m long
- 15 small bridge structures
- The reinstatement of the Lyon – Bourg-en-Bresse rail link over a 1 km stretch, with notably a 90 m bridge crossing over the A46
The project also involved the creation of a partial interchange on the A46 South, linked to the RD38, and the widening of the A46 to 2×3 lanes on a 2 km section.
